Copyrights: LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO does not reproduce any materials or content that may violate Copyright Laws. It is explicitly understood that you own the copyright and all rights to any video/photographic material submitted to LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO. By acceptance of the Terms and Conditions you acknowledge and represent that the media and content provided to LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO are either not in conflict with the Copyright Laws or that you hold the Copyright. You are solely responsible and assume all copyright liability for all content you submit. It is generally illegal to copy, reproduce or distribute copyrighted information or materials (including photographs, video, audio, and music) without the consent of the owner of such copyright. YOU ALSO REPRESENT THAT IN SUBMITTING PHYSICAL OR ELECTRONIC IMAGES TO LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO, THAT YOU ARE THE OWNER OR ARE AUTHORIZED BY THE COPYRIGHT OWNER TO USE ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS SUBMITTED OR PROVIDED BY YOU. YOU WILL HOLD LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO HARMLESS FROM ANY LIABILITY FOR COPYING, ENLARGING, OR REPRODUCING IN ANY FASHION, INCLUDING DIGITALLY, ALL IMAGES (PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEO, FILM, MUSIC, AUDIO, ETC. YOU AGREE AND ACCEPT TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS RELATED TO THE MATERIALS YOU HAVE SUBMITTED TO US. UNAUTHORIZED USE MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW AND COULD RESULT IN LIABILITY BY YOU.

General: LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO transfers S-VHS, VHS, VHS-C, Digital8, standard8, and Hi8 tape formats, mini-DV, 35mm slides, photographic media, 8mm, Super 8, 16mm, Pola Vision silent movie film, and audio cassette tapes, to various digital formats to include DVD, CD, and hard drive. Unless additional editing or custom services have been specifically requested and ordered, LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO’s sole responsibility is to produce a copy of your tape/film content, slides, or print media, onto an appropriate number of CD / DVD disks without editing or merging of content. We return your media (tape, film, photos, or slides) at the time of order completion. Custom editing is available upon request.

RUSH / Expedite Orders: We understand that some orders are extremely time sensitive. We offer RUSH / Expedite processing. Rush orders are charged an additional fee, plus expedited shipping charges. Our normal turn around time for most projects is approximately 2 to 3 weeks (call during holiday seasons, or for current estimate), including standard shipping and delivery.

Quality: Digital compression, encoding, and recording techniques vary in quality. DVD encoding converts analog signals into an MPEG-2 digital format which capture the original video in a compressed format. The quality of the converted media, is therefore highly dependent on the current condition of the supplied tape/film, the quality of the original images, and the speed or resolution at which the material was recorded. LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO uses high-end professional equipment that offers a superior quality media transfer.

Liability: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU ONLY USE A CARIER THAT OFFERS A TRACKING NUMBER (UPS/FED EX) TO SEND YOUR HOME MEDIA TO LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO. YOU ASSUME TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR YOUR SHIPPING OF MEDIA -- LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR COST (INCLUDING CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES) YOU OR ANYONE ELSE USING OUR SERVICE MIGHT INCUR DUE TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IF YOU LIVE IN A STATE WHOSE LAWS PREVENT YOU FROM TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS LEGACY VIDEO STUDIOAND FROM ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, OR COST (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) RESULTING FROM YOUR VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT.

Right To Refuse Service: Legacy Video Studio reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, with or without reason. We are a family oriented business and we require that you limit your content for conversion. LEGACY VIDEO STUDIO reserves the right to refuse service for any material that our staff, for any reason, deems objectionable, or is otherwise identified, identifiable, or known objectionable or pornographic material. If the general public would label your material degrading, offensive, illegal, "For Mature Audiences", "R", or "X" rated, we will not accept your media. We may preserve and disclose content or customer information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that doing so is necessary to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) enforce these terms, (c) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of LEGACY VIDEO STUIO.

Guarantee: Legacy Video Studio guarantees that we will provide the best possible quality transfer using superior grade equipment.  However, due to the age and condition of your existing media, we may not be able to provide a transfer that is free from image degradation.  This is because many factors outside our control can influence the current condition of your media (i.e., how old it is, how it was stored, the quality of the original media it was recorded on, etc.).  If your media is in a state that the majority of it or all of it is not transferrable, we will contact you and there will not be a fee for our attempt to transfer.  If we are able to transfer at least a portion of your media, you will be charged for the transfer.  Our philosophy is that we believe it is better to capture and preserve what memories we can as opposed to nothing at all.  We know how important even the smallest of memories can be.
